Yuri Shtapakov
about the artist
Yuri was born in 1958 in Leningrad. In 1978, he graduated from the Leningrad Vocational School of Civil Engineering. The artist currently lives and works in St. Petersburg, teaching at the Design Department of the Higher School of Economics.
Yuri Shtapakov is mostly active in book illustration and printmaking, creating the majority of his illustrative pieces through the art print media of dry point, etching, aquatint, monotype, and linocut.
