Alexander Pogorzhelsky

Born in 1980 in Moscow, Alexander graduated from the Vasily Surikov Moscow State Academic Institute of Art and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow.

Pogorzhelsky’s works are rooted in everyday life: recounting his own experiences, the artist reproduces various scenes on canvas, all the while trying to simultaneously convey the feelings triggered by them. His expressive imagery embodies the artist’s reflections on the transient nature of time.
