Mikhail Lyozin

Musician, artist, poet, member of artistic collectives and bands, one of the key figures of the artistic and poetic underground, Mikhail Lyozin was born in Togliatti where he still lives and works.

For all the diversity of Lyozin’s interests, their connecting thread is the improvisational aspect of his creativity. Comparing music and visual arts, the artist finds parallels between them: it is by manipulating the rhythm of each drawing or painting at the point of its creation that he arrives at the finished landscape canvas or calligraphic piece.
