Sergey Denisov

Born in 1963 in Perm, Sergey Denisov studied at the Leningrad Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Design. He currently lives and works in St. Petersburg.

Denisov creates art objects, installations, photographs, paintings, and collages. At the heart of his works are various objects from the artist’s private collection, like mica plates, science magazine clippings, chemical lab equipment, dried herbs and flowers. Every new project builds on and elaborates his previous ones. The principal vector of the artist’s creative evolution remains unchanged: his creations closely observe the world around us through the prism of memories.
