Alexander Frolov was born in 1977 in the village of Usinskoye, Kuibyshev Oblast, and graduated from Samara Vocational School No. 34 with a degree in Furniture Manufacture and the School of Law of the International University of Business and Management (Moscow). The artist lives and works in Samara.
Alexander began his creative journey under the moniker Frol Vesyoly in the early 2000s with body art performances, graffiti, and street exhibitions. His recurring themes are animals, consumerist culture, women, and the life of Bezymyanka District of Samara, always presented in the artist’s signature sketchy, free, and satirical style.
