Ekaterina Kozlova (Anna Taguti) was born in 1960 in Riga and graduated from the Vasily Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute. The artist currently lives and works in Moscow.
Anna Taguti is active across different media, inquiring into several recurring themes. Generally preferring a black and white palette, the artist also sparingly adds other colours. Deliberately limiting her chromatic choices, Anna pays extra attention to the precision of lines and forms. With portraits, patterns, and renderings of Stalinist architecture, she conjures up a certain mythological space.
