van Willem

Willem van Weeghel was born in 1956 in the city of Wageningen in the Netherlands. For his university graduation project as a fine arts teacher Willem produced his first kinetic object.

Eventually van Weeghel decided to focus solely on kinetic art after dabbling in other media, as to him it embodied the symbiosis between art and technology. Works by Willem van Weeghel have been shown at numerous prestigious art fairs, including Art Cologne, Art Paris, and London Kinetica Art Fair.
