Vadim Grigoryev-Bashun

Painter, graphic and kinetic artist, photographer Vadim Grigoryev-Bashun was born in Leningrad in 1960 and graduated with honours from the School of Graphic Arts of the Repin Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Having worked and studied Renaissance art in Italy, he later taught at an art college in Germany. The artist currently lives and works in St. Petersburg.

In addition to working in traditional media, Grigoryev-Bashun experiments with reliefs, art objects, and photographs, effectively conjuring a highly original creative realm which seamlessly blends the artistic memory of past generations and his own creative vision.
