It is the first Erarta museum catalogue that displays the wide range of contemporary painting presented in the collection. The aim of the catalogue is show various art produced in Russia by very different artists. The works selected are not classified by streams they could be attributed to, or genre, or subject. The basic criterion was their self-sufficiency that would provoke the attracted on-looker to perceive them separately. Examples of such perception are brief texts written by various authors on each of these works.
