Audiovisual Performance by The Spot Artist Collective at Erarta
Enhance your experience of the Connection exhibition
Erarta Museum is currently hosting an exhibition by Katerina Smirnova and Stanislav Danilin – an artist duo confidently drawing on the avant-garde toolkit of the past to present their fantasy version of human feelings and sound perception. As part of the show, the artists invite the museum’s visitors to attend an audiovisual performance – free of charge with an Erarta Ticket or Membership.
Katerina Smirnova, Stanislav Danilin, and sound designer Evgeniy Tsyganov jointly represent The Spot artist collective, working on the cusp between new technologies, performance art, and sound architecture, and exploring the latter’s effects on visual imagination. Stanislav Danilin is the inventor of musical instruments that create sound through acoustic feedback.
The musical part of the performance is centred on the signature Apparatus instrument. Every audience member can take part in the event: the acoustic space of the artist-made audiovisual installation called Brain responds to human presence, atmosphere, and even air humidity. Get ready for something beyond a conventional concert show: a kind of music that has to be not simply heard, but experienced.
The performance will take place every Sunday from 4 May through 22 June, starting at 15:00. See you at the Connection exhibition on floor 5 of the Exhibitions Wing!
