From 6 February through 7 June, Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting an exhibition of artworks nominated for the 2026 Erarta Prize – the only art prize judged by the viewers. The total prize value of 3.5 million rubles will be fully allocated towards supporting the artists and distributed among the nominees according to the viewers’ vote.
This year, for the Prize’s fourth edition, Erarta once again encourages the viewers to select their favourite artwork according to their own choices and preferences: the 2026 Erarta Prize exhibition was staged with the special aim of determining the winners through a public vote. The large-scale show at Erarta’s Grand Hall features the artworks by 40 contemporary artists – paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, photographs, installations, as well as other contemporary art media. Over the span of four months, exhibition visitors will vote for their favourite artworks and attend artist talks to make an informed choice.
Regardless of the final outcome, all nominees will receive a guaranteed reward that will depend on their exact rating score. The voting takes place in two rounds. The first round is in progress now, lasting from 6 February through 20 April. It will determine the 10 shortlisted artists whose works will compete in the second round scheduled to run from 21 April through 3 June. The winners of the 2026 Erarta Prize will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held at the close of the final voting day.
Every vote matters – your support can help any artist achieve a higher ranking and ultimately win a bigger prize. To cast your vote, log in to my Erarta account. Additional details of the voting and prize awarding procedure in 2026 can be found here.
Erarta Museum invites everyone to take an active part in determining the winners of the 2026 Erarta Prize. This is going to be unmissable!
