Erarta RestoBar presents:
for her
Odysseus, a cocktail inspired by an artwork form the museum’s permanent collection
Ingredients: kiwi tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, sugar syrup, apple juice
This is a drink for adventurers. It is also a tribute to the painting acting as a kind of a visual epigraph to Erarta’s permanent collection. Ulysses, the cult novel by the celebrated 20th-century writer James Joyce, provided compelling evidence that an epic journey – an Odyssey – can easily fit into 24 hours. Every person leaving his or her home in the morning and returning in the evening is essentially not different from Homer’s eternal protagonist. Try this rich blend of tropical flavours and make an effort to recall every single detail of your day. You are bound to be surprised at how eventful and exciting your life is. After all, the discovery of a new taste is also a tiny adventure!
Erarta RestoBar presents:
for him
Siren, a cocktail inspired by an artwork form the museum’s permanent collection
Ingredients: pear caramel gin, white wine, lemon juice, egg white
Vladimir Ovchinnikov’s painting is so remarkable that our RestoBar offers two cocktails inspired by it. Be warned, though: the Siren is not everyone’s cup of tea. According to the Greek myth, Odysseus did not actually have to listen to the Sirens’ song. He could as well had filled his ears with wax and sailed on . . . The curious wanderer, however, was enticed to try something new . . . The same goes for the pleasures of exploring our drinks menu. Odysseus had his reasons for ordering his sailors to tie him to the ship’s mast prior to indulging in the experience. After all, overindulgence does pose certain threats. Sweet is the Sirens’ song, but enjoy it responsibly!
