On June 3, Wednesday, the pianist Denis Kirillov will present at Erarta his new programme “Two childhoods”, inspired by Pyotr Tchaikovsky's music.
The first part of the concert consists of well-known Tchaikovsky's short plays (“Children's Album”), naive and wise. These are stories, told by a child about his typical day experiences and impressions from the morning hours till the evening prayer (night vigil).
The second part includes 24 improvisations and 24 original music themes. They reflect the memories of a grown up child who comprehends his previous experiences, dreams and impressions.
“Two childhoods” is not only a music programme, but a whole story about childhood stages and growing up. The concert will feature fragments of Ray Bradbury’s "Dandelion Wine" in order to convey the daily experiences and impressions in children’s separate worlds, the small universes where everything exists in kindness and happiness.
