During the last week of March 2014 Erarta will host The Second International Film Festival of Short Films About Painting "Erarta MOTION PICTURES II". Together with the Competition and Non-Competition Programmes we will show the best selection of the Festival'2013.

The first festival Erarta Motion Pictures took place on 25–31 March 2013. More than 180 filmmakers from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, Australia, UK, USA and other countries applied for participation. The jury of the first festival consisted of A. Sokurov, A. Zagoskin, S. Yevtushenko, K. Gray, Ari Ergis Magnusson. The daily audience of the Festival was over 500 people. The Closing Ceremony of the Festival attracted more than 200 representatives of film and artistic community of St. Petersburg and Moscow.

The screening of the best films of the Festival 2013 will happen on 26 March (WED) at 17:00 and on 29 March (SAT) at 13:00.

  • “Once upon a time there lived a mother” (animation, Russia). Special Prize of the “Erarta MOTION PICTURES” Festival
  • “Velocity” (animation, England). Special Prize of Erarta Museum
  • “Sisters” (animation, Belgium). Special Prize of Estonian Festival “The Unprecedented Cinema” for the best sound
  • “Gauguin. The man who makes people” (documentary, Russia). Grand Prix of the “Erarta MOTION PICTURES” Festival
  • “Two Highways” (documentary, Russia). Special Prize of the “Erarta MOTION PICTURES” Festival
  • “Carton flowers” (feature film, Russia). Grand Prix of the “Erarta MOTION PICTURES” Festival
  • “Pancake Week” (feature film, Russia). Special Prize of the “Erarta MOTION PICTURES” Festival
  • “Nothing special” (feature film, Russia). Prize for the best amateur film festival at Estonian Festival “The Unprecedented Cinema”; third place at the “White Nights” Film Festival.
