On August 15, Saturday, Erarta Stage will host Prohor Burlak and Ruslan Vasilyev Jazz Quintet.
Prohor Burlak and Ruslan Vasilyev are students of G. Holstein, the founder of the unique orchestra “Saxophones of St. Petersburg”. They play in various jazz bands, including Jazz Philarmonic Big Bend, “Saxophones of St. Petersburg”, Big Band of Sergey Gusyatinsky and Big Jazz Orchestra of Peter Vostokov (Moscow).
The Quintet, directed by Prohor and Ruslan, works in the style of traditional jazz of the 30s-50s. All band members are actively involved into jam sessions of the northern capital, and often collaborate with Moscow and foreign musicians. On August 15 the Quintet will perform in Erarta.
