A special museum project of the "POST" theatre: a performance that is running simultaneously in four halls. A symbiosis of exhibition and dramatic action.
"Theatre POST" is an independent theatrical group founded in 2011 by Dmitry Volkostrelov, the student of the eminent film director Lev Dodin and a graduate of the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, bringing together a team of young artists, Dmitry's former classmates.
The objective of "Theatre POST" is to bring contemporary art and theatre closer together, to discover new theatrical language and to explore the modern world through theatrical means.
"Theatre POST"'s central creative principle is to work with contemporary authors' works exclusively. The group's repertoire includes plays based on pieces by some of the most important and influential Russian playwrights of today: Ivan Vyrypaev and Pavel Pryazhko.
The very first projects of "Theatre POST" have aroused massive amounts of interest from Russia's theatrical establishment, and the group was invited to take part in some of the largest theatre festivals such as the "Golden Mask" and the "NET festival".
Today "Theatre POST" is one of the leading theatre companies in Russia. "Theatre POST" is an independent theatrical group, performing its plays in alternative venues and promoting the expansion of contemporary theater into the club scene.
