23 April 2014 will mark the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth. The “Free Artists’ Workshop” will commemorate this event with their “Shakespeariade” performance in Erarta.

We don’t know the exact dates of William Shakespeare’s birth and death, but there is a theory that he was born on April 23 in 1564, and died on April 23 in 1616.

Whenever referring to Shakespeare's drama and giving rise to the eternal and developing myth of the Author, theater becomes a guide to the modern world of his fears and insights, discoveries and disappointments, doubts and hopes.

“Shakespeariade” is a liberal interpretation of the selected plays into the body language. This is an attempt to find a newer understanding of the poetic author’s world with nine plastic statements. The actors blur the boundaries of the real and the fictional, and introduce their own Shakespeare to the audience.

  • Choreographer — Reseda Gayanova
  • Director — Vitaly Dyachenko
