On April 18 Erarta Stage will host the Swiss band Plaistow.
The Geneva-based collective was found in 2007. While being quite active participants of the Swiss music scene, the three future members of Plaistow band met in an independent label network in the Internet and due to the similar views and creative thinking decided to make up a joint project. The key components of their project are freedom of improvisation, interest in rock music, contemporary electronics and collective development of Steve Reich’s concepts.
Plaistow’s fourth album “Titan” was released in autumn 2015 and will be presented to the Russian audience within the current tour. The critics have already called is “spine-tingling” and as for the style – post-jazz, contemporary fusion, and even academic minimalism.
