The collection of Natalenko is remarkable that includes all periods of the artist's creative work — from the beginning of 1950 and until recent years. More than fifty paintings and drawings tell you about the formation and development of aesthetic principles of the artist.

Michael Kulakov (b. 1933) worked in Moscow and Leningrad, and in 1976 left the Soviet Union and settled in Italy.

In his work you can find a strong influence of abstract expressionism of Jackson Pollock, Japanese painting, the tradition of Russian icon painting. One of the most interesting abstract painters of our time formed from this seemingly paradoxical cocktail. And in his volume, brutal work with plaster, and exquisitely beautiful sheets of translucent colored streaks stories from the Bible and the Upanishads coexist. And each of the work marks a new step towards finding an answer to the question of freedom of the artist, seeking to reduce the visible to the spiritual, and spiritual — to sign.
