Alezander Kabin's project "Blow Up" consists of sketches with motives taken from everyday life. The name of the project refers to famous film by Michelangelo Antonioni. Kabin almost whips his stills out of daily routine, and its details become revealed in front of a viewer, sometimes unexpectedly, sometimes intentionally. Everything is painfully familiar: industrial landscapes in black smog, completely rusty loaf, trains that are frozen into the ground of Russian North... Details of commonness are depicted in romantic atmosphere, a sense of nostalgia for Soviet childhood and Post-Soviet youth.
