Every year, Erarta Museum stages 40 new exhibitions — and we simply can’t wait to reveal what surprises we have for you as we gear up for 2019! Shows by renowned artists from across the globe, a broad range of contemporary art trends and media, provocation, fashion, design, photographs blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination — all this, and a lot more, awaits you.

Arno Minkkinen. Moments of Revelation

18.01.2019 — 19.05.2019

An exhibition by the celebrated Finnish American photographer Arno Rafael Minkkinen. The 100 photographs on show will span the entire career of the artist. The black and white photographs celebrate the harmony of the human body and nature.

Cécile Plaisance. Role Play

01.02.2019 — 02.06.2019

Holographic photography by one of Europe's most controversial artists Cécile Plaisance (France). An exhibition challenging the notions of gender, nationality, religion, and pretty much anything else. Uncompromising, hard-edged, and at times shocking.

Style Ducati

15.02.2019 — 16.06.2019

Erarta Museum proudly presents the first Ducati exhibition in Russia, a story of the immaculate Italian motorcycle style and passion for speed. This is a real backstage pass into the exciting world of luxury design and top speeds. The show will feature the iconic models of Ducati motorcycles and bicycles, drawings and design concepts, as well as photos and videos telling the story of a modest dream becoming impressive reality.

Mario Testino. Photographs

31.05.2019 — 29.09.2019 

Mario Testino brought forward the true self of hundreds of beautiful people, from aspiring models to Princess Diana. Testino's glamorous realism became the reference standard for a whole generation of event and fashion photographers.

Grame Studios. Sound All Around

14.06.2019 — 06.10.2019

A rare opportunity for the St. Petersburg public to admire the light and sound installations presented by the renowned Grame National Centre for Musical Creation (Lyon, France). The visitors will act simultaneously as listeners, viewers and co-creators of this light and sound spectacular.

Georgy Frangulyan. Solid Line

28.06.2019 — 20.10.2019 

An exhibition of sculptures by the modern-day classic whose masterpieces grace the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Russian Museum, and the streets of many cities.

Zulkarnain Ismail. Augmented Reality

11.10.2019 — 16.02.2020 

Surrealism has long since been trending in the digital environment, making it hard to create something truly outstanding. The Malaysia-based digital artist Zulkarnain Ismail is an obvious exception: his visions are constantly replicated, his method continues to inspire others.

Alexey Rouman. Leave the Body as a Keepsake

The hyper-relevant works by the Russian artist Alexey Rouman. The Sphere and Life exhibition is yet another convincing proof that any art mirrors its time.
