From October 1 Kirov Contemporary Art Center “Gallery of Progress” hosted a traveling exhibition “The Noise of Time” featuring contemporary Russian art from the collection of Erarta Museum

This autumn, the hometown of Victor and Apollinary Vasnetsov, M. Saltykov-Shchedrin, A. Herzen and A. Grin is hosting a travelling exhibition of about 60 contemporary artworks from the collection of Erarta Museum. The exhibition mainly features such St. Petersburg artists as Valery Lucca, Felix Volosenkov, Elena Figurina, Anatoly Zaslavsky, and Nikolay Sazhin. The Leningrad underground is represented by Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Vladlen Gavrilchik, and Anatoly Basin. Among the young artists there are Vitaly Pushnitsky, exploring "The Mechanisms of Time", Ilya Gaponov from “Nepokorennye” art group and Alexander Dashevsky. Among the major regional artists - Vladimir Migachev (Krasnodar), Maxim Kaetkin (Perm), Vladimir Fateev (Novosibirsk), Yury Tatianin (Lipetsk), and Rinat Voligamsi (Ufa). 

Kirov has already hosted exhibition projects by several Petersburg art-groups as the Sterligov group and “The Mitki”, but never in such a large-scale and variety. “The Noise of Time” features both contemporary painting and video art.

The exhibition at the Contemporary Art Center “Gallery of Progress” will run until November 1. The project is being implemented within the project “Russia in Erarta”.
