An exhibition of works from the collection of Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art was warmly received and highly appreciated by the crowd at the “Sterhfest — Big Water” festival
Between the 24th of May and 26th of June 2013, the State Arts Museum of Khanty-Mansiysk hosted an exhibition of contemporary works of art from the collection of Erarta Museum. The exhibition was the headline event of a festival, which is also simultaneously held in Surgut by the “Sterh” Gallery. At the vernissage, the head curators of Erarta, Vladimir Nazansky and Pavel Markaitis told the crowd, comprised of the locals, art world experts and state representatives a little bit more about the works and thanked everyone for a very warm welcome. Khanty-Mansiysk is a “hypermarket” of culture of sorts — even though it’s not densely populated, it’s a popular passing by destination, which always hosts important events, festivals and boasts a rich theatre heritage. At the end of June, the exhibition will move on to Surgut and then subsequently, to Irkutsk.
