Downtown Sextet, originally founded by Yury Bogatyrev and Andrey Blinchevsky, features 6 likeminded musicians, impassioned by the idea of classic jazz sound of the 60s. St. Petersburg band combines the sound of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, Miles Davis’s Sextet and contemporary trends emerging in the very heart of jazz — New York. 

The repertoire includes music pieces by Wayne Shorter, Miles Davis and Cedar Walton.
