The stereoscopic performance "The Art of Movement" consists of video projections that are watched through 3D-glasses. The performance presents to the audience the world of dance in close-up by creating an illusion of their interaction with the dancers.
"The Art of Movement", created by Billy Cowie, won the jury prize at the International Cultural Festival of Contemporary Dance (FCIDC) in 2013. Its Russian premiere took place at the New Open Look'2014 festival at Alexandrinsky Theatre.
"I love working with the local dancers wherever I go, to meet different traditions and styles whether it is Egypt, Algeria or Japan. And I think that Russian dancers are particularly beautiful!" — said Billy Cowie at the press conference before the premiere show.
